Job description

What you will do in your working day

The successful candidate will provide learning experiences that challenge and enable young children to grow in confidence and independence within a stimulating environment. You will be able to take responsibility for the observation, assessment, monitoring, and record-keeping of children's learning and development using a variety of methods to inform planning.

The successful candidate will work in the toddler room with our 2, 3, and 4 year olds to help plan, observe and give children appropriate next steps for their learning and development. The right candidate will be able to care for children in a nurturing way. This will include feeding them, changing their nappies and interacting with them, etc. They will also be given a group of key children in which they will plan activities for their individual development. The candidate will also be able to effectively work as part of a team with staff members and be able to build strong parent partnerships.

Your responsibilities will include:

Little Rainbows Childcare is a small nursery that is based in a home. We're located on a quiet street with good transport links. Little Rainbows Childcare is on domestic premises, meaning there is a home-from-home working environment. We close every bank holiday and have a week off during the Christmas period. For all staff that work here, we provide a 20% discount on their childcare if they choose our setting.

The training you will be getting

Paragon Skills is a leading national Apprenticeship training provider, supporting over 4,000 learners and 1,500 organisations. Paragon Skills has some of the highest success and achievement rates in the industry.

It has an Ofsted Grade 2 Good rating and an overall achievement rate of 71.4%, exceeding the national average of 65.6%. Using a blended approach, learners are always at the forefront of our priorities. All learners are assigned a Personal Tutor who will be their main point of contact.

This involves regular catch-ups, check-in emails and calls. Your employer will agree to give you 20% of your working hours solely towards your study.

This will give you every chance to achieve the highest grade possible! On completion of this 18-month apprenticeship, you will have gained; Level 3 Ealy Years Educator Apprenticeship
