Job description

The role:

We are currently recruiting for a Facilities Engineer to be responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of all buildings, services and associated improvements relating to the VEKA Burnley site.

What you'll do:

• Painting & decorating
• Plumbing repairs
• Lighting repairs/replacements
• Repairs to building fabric
• Roof repairs
• Drain cleaning & maintenance
• General building maintenance
• Carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance works to ensure continued problem-free operation of equipment and facilities within the building

What you'll need:

• Worked within a similar facilities/maintenance role
• Formal apprenticeship trained
• IPAF licence desirable
• Experience of laying 2-pack epoxy paints
• Experience of paint spraying
• Working knowledge of Health and Safety audits and procedures
• Hands-on approach
• Ability to liaise directly with suppliers & contractors, having good oral and written communication
• Team player who can handle/accept responsibility
• Ability to work independently
• Ability to plan own workload
