We are currently seeking an Estimator forour CSN Formula location. The Estimator is responsible forgreeting customers, accurately assessing damage to vehicles, and providingrepair estimates as per insurance guidelines and standards of Drive Autogroup.
Job Duties:
- Examines damaged vehicle to determine extent of structural,body, mechanical or interior damage.
- Estimates cost of labor and parts to repair or replace eachdamaged item.
- Reviews repair cost estimates with body shop manager.
- In the event of a disagreement with manager on repair cost,arranges to have damage appraised by another appraiser to resolve thesituation.
- Determines feasibility of repair versus replacement of parts,such as bumpers, fenders, and doors.
- Evaluates practicality of repair as opposed to payment ofvehicle market value before accident.
- Determines salvage value on total vehicle loss.
- Prepares insurance forms to indicate repair cost estimatesand recommendations.
- Estimates cost of repainting, converting to special purposes,or customizing undamaged vehicles.
- Adhering to and applying insurance guidelines
- Engage in communications with insurance adjusters andcustomers throughout the repair process effectively and maintain highlevels of customer satisfaction.
- Other tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma and certificate from college or technicalschool or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Minimum 1-3 years of previous experience in an Estimating orsimilar role
- Experience with collision management systems
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Software (Word, Excel,Outlook).
- Strong sales and negotiation skills
- Excellent language and communication skills
- Mathematical skills
- Ability to solve problems and effectively deal with a varietyof situations
