Make a real difference to children, including those at risk of significant harm!
It is a great time to join the Safeguarding and Reviewing Unit on our journey to excellence . We are a settled and stable service of child protection experts who have children at the heart of everything we do.
You will assess and manage risk, undertaking critical decisions and will challenge the practice of social workers, managers and partners to raise the standard of child protection practice for vulnerable children and young people who have suffered, or are at risk of suffering significant harm. You’ll provide quality assurance and support to the work of Bradford Children & Families Trust and other agencies to drive improvements in practice.
You will likely be an experienced social work practitioner/team manager ( with a recognised Social Work Qualification and registration with Social Work England) who can demonstrate expert knowledge and experience of the systems for child protection and be professionally confident and competent in challenging standards of care and practice.
A friendly, dynamic and enthusiastic individual with excellent innovation skills who can contribute to a team and bring a flexible approach.
With experience of chairing meetings and quality assuring the delivery of services to children and young people subject to Child Protection Plans, you will have a passion for ensuring that the child/young person’s voice is heard and listened to.
A highly organised individual, you will have a good working knowledge of risk and be able to co-ordinate a safe child protection plan.
Your restorative practice skills will support you to provide high support, high challenge to social work teams and partner agencies who provide services to children subject to child protection plans. You will have a sound knowledge of local and national policies and procedures and keep up to date with research and good practice.
If you have any questions about the role or working for the Trust, please do not hesitate to contact one of our Child Protection Managers.
