Duties to include but not limited to:
- Liaising with the fabrication office to update current & on-going orders
- Liaising with supervisors and management on any production issues
- Leading a small team in the custom fabrication department
- Detracking items in/out and weighing of products
- Clearly communicate with colleagues & delegate daily duties when needed
- Use own initiative to resolve issues that you may face on a daily basis
- Assisting with stock takes
- Adopt and adhere to health and safety regulations & help drive health and safety through the custom department by ensuring all ppe is worn by colleagues and all equipment is safe for operation
- Planning ahead
- Use machinery when necessary
- Fabricate products required
-Lead the welding team
- Train and develop welders to be all of the same level & standard
- Drive down possible customer issues by checking over products for errors / defects / spatter
- Work to tight deadlines in a fast paced environment
- Adaptable to change
- Sees areas of improvement to increase productivity and workflow
- Banding and stacking completed products
- Keep work area clean and tidy
- Experience in fabrication of metal gates and fencing (minimum 2 years required)
- Ensure all materials are in place ready for the next day
- Assist with moving the company forward
Fork Lift Truck License (Preferred)
Salary: Up to £16 per hour
Hours: 45 hours per week
Location: Kiln Way, Swadlincote, Derby, DE11 8ED
