Job description
Our client based on the outskirts of Nelson / Colne is looking for a bookkeeper with experience of journals, accruals and prepayments with payroll administration;
· Prepare and post monthly accruals, prepayments and similar accounting entries and accounts preparation to trial balance
· Preparing and processing invoices and payments
· Reconciling bank statements
· Preparation of hours, holidays and absences for the external accountant to process the Payroll – approx. 200 staff
· Maintain strong relationships with staff and customers
The ideal candidate:
· Minimum of 2-3 years experience in a bookkeeping role
· Strong knowledge of bookkeeping principles
· Payroll administration experience
· Experience using Xero, Sage or SAP (or similar)
· Must have strong Excel skills
