TRANSPORT AND LOGISTICS SUPERVISOR / TEAM LEADER / SHIFT MANAGER WITH EXPERIENCE AS A CLASS 2 LGV / HGV DRIVER (FOR OCCASIONAL DRIVING / SHUNTING ONLY) REQUIRED TO LEAD A TEAM AT A BUSY DEPOT
TITLE: Depot Shift Manager / Transport Operations Supervisor & Occasional HGV Driver
LOCATION: Candidates will be considered from East London / Greater London area
You may have been a Depot Shift Manager, Night Shift Transport Manager, Depot Supervisor, Operations Supervisor, HGV Driver, LGV Driver, Lead Driver Depot Operations Supervisor, Transport Supervisor, Distribution Supervisor, Logistics Supervisor, Service Delivery Supervisor, Depot Team leader, Operations Team leader, Depot Operations Team leader, Transport Team leader, Distribution Team leader, Logistics Team leader, General Team leader, Service Delivery Team leader, Transport Planner, Logistics Controller, Traffic Controller, Transport Controller, Traffic Dispatcher, Transport Dispatcher, Shift Transport Manager, HGV Driver, LGV Driver, Lead Driver
MAIN DUTIES: Depot Shift Manager / Transport Operations Supervisor & Occasional LGV Driver
You will be trained to cover the day management of drivers and vehicles
You will oversee service delivery and step in if required to make sure service obligations are met
Give work instructions and monitor the performance of drivers i.e. briefing/debriefing during course of working day
You will be required on occasion to drive and Shunt HGV/LGV’s in yard, to and from MOT, and if required when a driver breaks down.
EXPERIENCE: Depot Shift Manager / Transport Operations Supervisor & Occasional HGV Driver
You will have worked in Transport and Logistics, and have had responsibility for other staff
You must have a Class C Driving Licence and Driver CPC
Good communication and organisation skills.
