Permanent Veterinary Surgeon - Loanhead, Midlothian

We are recruiting for a Permanent Veterinary Surgeon to join a small animal practice in Loanhead, Midlothian.

This role is full time for 40 hours per week with shifts between 8:30am and 7pm, along with 1 in 3 weekends. Part time hours can be considered. There will be no OOH work or on-call duties.

The vet would be joining a team of 2 other vets, 3 RVNs, 1 SVN and support team along with a practice manager.

The vet will have a strong level of experience and be confident in 1st opinion medicine and surgery. They must also be comfortable with some sole charge work.

• Consultations: 15 minutes

• You will be confident in routine surgeries and consultations
• You will enjoy leading a team and supporting and mentoring others
• You will have an approachable and caring attitude
• You will be able to establish good working relationships with clients and be confident in all consultations
• You will want to contribute to the practice with ideas enabling them to stay at the forefront of clinical thinking whilst also maintaining the ethos of providing a high standard of clinical care to all pets
• You will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to develop a great rapport with both clients and staff
• You will be a strong team player

Package:

• Salary: Up to £60,000 per annum, commensurate to experience
