About the role:
This is a chance to join an innovative team working towards improving health and reducing health inequalities through physical activity programs. As the Physical Activity Programme Manager, you will lead a dynamic team, drive project delivery, and collaborate with voluntary organisations and partners to enhance participation and wellbeing across Wakefield District.
Responsibilities:
- Manage a team focusing on improving health through physical activity programs
- Coordinate and deliver targeted projects for diverse participation
- Work with key stakeholders and contribute to strategies (e.g. Cycle Wakefield steering group)
- Support Corporate Objectives (e.g supporting every child to ride a bike by age 12)
- Identify resident and stakeholder needs through data analysis
- Advocate for physical activity, securing additional resources as needed
