CSW - Social Worker - Children in Care & Placements (SP 27 - 38)

Description
We are currently seeking a dedicated Social Worker to join our team as a CSW for Children in Care & Placements. As a CSW, you will play a vital role in providing support and assistance to children who are in care and are placed in various settings. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of vulnerable children and help them thrive in a safe and nurturing environment.

Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive assessments of children's needs and formulate appropriate support plans -
Provide direct support and intervention to children in care and their families, ensuring their emotional, educational, and physical well-being -
Liaise with external agencies and professionals to coordinate and deliver services to children in care -
Monitor the progress and development of children and regularly review support plans to ensure effectiveness -
Provide guidance, advice, and advocacy to children, families, and carers throughout the placement process -
Collaborate with colleagues and other professionals to develop and implement innovative programs and initiatives for children in care -
Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, policies, and procedures in all aspects of work
Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Social Work or a related field -
Valid social work registration and eligibility to practice in the area -
Experience working with children in care and knowledge of the child welfare system -
Strong assessment, communication, and interpersonal skills -
Ability to work effectively and sensitively with diverse populations, including children, families, and carers -
Knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures related to child protection and safeguarding -
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage a demanding workload -
Continued professional development in the field of social work and a commitment to staying up-to-date with best practices.

-3 Years post qualification.
-Hybrid working.
-Home visits to young people
-Supporting young people age 16 to 18 years of age.
-Completing of CLA reviews
-Experience of completing Pathway plans
-Experience of working with the multi agency disciplinary team.
-Working as part of a team
