We are seeking to appoint a Key Skills Teacher to offer inclusive provision to Sixth Form students. This is an excellent opportunity to join the Academy during an exciting time of its’ development, working within the Social Sciences faculty and lead by the Assistant Head of Sixth Form to provide a supportive and forward-thinking working environment.
The successful applicant will be responsible for using an innovative and holistic approach to deliver the English and/or Maths Functional Skills curriculum to post-16 students in the Academy. The post holder will work in a small group setting, to nurture students for them to succeed and secure their Level 2 qualifications, enabling them to progress to their future destinations. Alongside this, the post holder will also deliver a range of skills and careers-based programmes of learning, including securing meaningful work experience placements and completing the ASDAN Certificate of Personal Effectiveness qualification.
To be successful in this role you will have prior experience of delivering Functional Skills or teaching English/Maths. Experience of adapting teaching to meet the needs of learners with SEND would also be desirable.
