Job Title: Vocational Tutor
Location: Lancashire/Cumbria
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: £30,000 DOE
Role Overview :
The role of a Vocational Tutor involves providing essential support to learners in Morecambe. This role includes delivering accredited activities across a suite of Vocational courses for a well established independent training provider.
Key Responsibilities :
- Deliver a suite of accredited Vocational Courses for several sectors, such as Employability, Customer Service, Retail, Hospitality, Mental Health Awareness, understanding SEND, Understanding Children and Young People’s Mental Health, IAG, Safeguarding, Customer Service and many more courses dependent on competencies. (Qualification range is up to and including level 3)
- Maintain accurate learner records and ensure readily accessible evidence for audit and quality purposes.
- Implement improvements identified through performance reviews and internal quality assurance.
- Continuously develop and maintain professional knowledge, skills, and experience through training, CPD, and networking.
- Regularly review learner progress to keep them engaged and track their development.
- Plan and implement innovative and differentiated activities tailored to individual learners' needs.
- Monitor learner progression and facilitate various teaching, learning, and assessment approaches.
- Deliver training following qualification and centre guidelines, emphasizing equality, diversity, and Prevent in lessons.
- Adhere to statutory responsibilities, ensuring compliance with Health and Safety, Safeguarding, and Prevent policies.

Essential/Desirable Criteria :
- Assessor Qualification (A1, D32/33, TAQA, CAVA) or willingness to work towards
- Functional Skills Level 2 in Maths, English, and ICT
- Experience using e-portfolio systems
- Successful delivery of vocational qualifications through remote and digital platforms
- Recognized teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, PTLLS or equivalent)
- GCSE English Language or equivalent (Grade A*-C
- Level 3 award assessing, vocationally related achievement or equivalent
