Northampton based company

Permanent Role

Negotiable Salary £29k-£35k DOE

Estimator required to join this established family run business within the production/sign making industry.

About the role

The role will involve the following duties and responsibilities

• Pricing jobs from one off items right through to large tenders
• Liaising with suppliers organising and costing materials for manufacturing projects
• Negotiating with suppliers to get the best price for materials
• Working closely with the project teams on tenders from preparation to submission
• Responsible for cost calculations to cost each project / job including materials, labour costs and equipment.
• Using project management software to prepare estimates and quotations.
• Working within a small team but also working on your own initiative.

Skills and experience required

To be considered for this role, we are looking for someone with the following skills and experience

• Have previously worked as an Estimator ideally within construction and non food manufacturing sectors
• Have experience and be confident in dealing with writing and submitting tenders, and cost calculations
• Have excellent negotiation skills and be confident in dealing with suppliers.
• Have previously used project management software, Clarity or similar.
• Be able to work in a team but on your own initiative
• Be able to deal with customers at all levels.
