The Business Management Office team is positioned within the Digital Delivery (DD) function of Defra’s Digital, Data & Technology Services directorate (DDTS). The team provides a central point of focus and expertise within the DD function for ensuring effective business management, business planning, performance monitoring, governance, risk management, reporting and ‘people management’ related processes run efficiently across DD. The function has a headcount of circa 600 (civil servant and contractor although the balance varies). As a member of the BMO Team, the Business Support Manager is responsible for providing business support, advice and MI (management information) co-ordination to the BMO team, functional leadership teams, team managers and professions to enable their delivery of IT services and business outcomes across Defra. This requires collaborative working with team managers across the function, business management teams in other DDTS functions and central Workforce Planning, Recruitment and Finance teams to support effective and efficient business management processes and data.Job tags
