Job description
Job responsibilities Streamline and manage the admissions and discharges for the most efficient use of the beds at the unit. Supervision of reports for Mental Health Act Tribunals and managers' hearings and attending hearings. Maintenance of satisfactory patient records. Lead the implementation of risk assessment, risk management and to embed clinical governance within the Hospitals. Assess capacity of inpatients whenever appropriate. Conduct ward rounds and patient reviews Liaise with the Ministry of Justice for transfer of patients and approval of leave as required. Contribute to the on call rota as required Attend and contribute to academic meetings and adhere to the professional standards for CPD as set out by the GMC, the Department of Health and the Royal College of Psychiatrists.
