iRecruit are currently seeking a highly capable and experienced Project Manager to work in a Senior role for one of the UK's leading providers of high voltage distribution systems based in Kent. The company are looking for an experienced Project Manager in the field of private and public networks who is skilled in both HV & LV installations. The successful candidate will benefit from a competitive salary and car allowance along with other additional benefits.
The Role
As a Senior Project Manager working within the area of networks, you will form part of the management team which focuses on the planning and delivery of both public and private network projects, including 24/7 IDNO national fault contracts, private network maintenance and HV & LV installation works. Working in this capacity the successful candidate will conduct full scope of the role from pre contract client interface set up, planning and reporting, through to implementation, close out and any audits/inspection that need to be carried out. Bid/tender assistance and occasional sales support may also be required.
The Company
Operating for over 25 years, the company are one of the UK's leading providers of high voltage distribution systems up to 132kv. Their services vary from low level maintenance to turnkey power distribution packages and they have a large presence in the rail and utility sectors. Some of their biggest projects have included wide scale switchgear replacements, Thames Water installation projects and the design and build of 11kv substation for light rail.
Requirements
" Utilities and/or Private Networks sector experience
" Team management capabilities
" Good negotiation skills
" Ability to take ownership and follow tasks through to completion
" Ability to work under pressure
" Flexible
" Pro-active approach and a willingness to contribute new ideas
" PM experience essential
" Engineering qualification preferred (electrical desirable).
" Project Management qualification (Prince2 desirable)
" P3 / MS Project competent
