Responsibilities - Lead and mentor a team of software engineers, providing guidance and support in their professional development.
- Oversee the end-to-end software development lifecycle, ensuring high-quality and timely delivery of projects.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including Data, Intelligence, and Product to align technical strategies with business objectives.
- Drive innovation by staying updated of the latest technological trends and advancements in the software engineering domain.
- Lead the design and architecture of scalable, robust, and efficient software solutions.
- Manage and optimise existing systems, enhancing their performance and reliability.
- Cultivate a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the engineering team.
- Act as a technical leader, providing insights, recommendations, and solutions to complex engineering challenges.
Requirements - Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience (5+ years) in software engineering, with at least 3 years in a managerial or leadership role.
- Strong technical expertise in software development, including proficiency in Python and Typescript.
- Experience leading and managing high-performing engineering teams, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and departments.
- Demonstrated ability to drive projects from concept to completion, delivering high-quality software solutions on schedule.
- Proficiency with the following technologies: FastAPI, ReactJS, SQL, Azure, Gitlab, Terraform
Benefits - £90-110k, exp. dependent
