Cable Jointer

Base Location: Salisbury, Hampshire, West London, Slough, Reading, Swindon, Melksham, or Oxford

Salary: Circa £50k OTE (Base salary: £18.65 p/hr PAYE + overtime & standby payments)

London Supplement is an extra £1.73 per hour for people working in the Slough and West London Depot

Working Pattern: Long Term contract | Full Time

Role Overview:

We are seeking experienced Cable Jointer. As a Cable Jointer, you will be a crucial part of our network, contributing to powering change.

Responsibilities:

• Work on HV & LV Network, performing jointing, cabling, and excavation work on a pre-planned and quick-response basis.
• Ensure safety, acting as an ambassador for a strong safety culture.
• Respond quickly to emergency situations and provide excellent customer service.
• Work outdoors in all weather conditions, including out-of-hours standby duties and short-notice attendance for storm situations.

Candidate Requirements:

To be considered for this role, we're looking for candidates with:

• DNO Industry experience in the UK or overseas.
• Recognized cable jointing qualification in LV, HV, 11kV, or 33kV from a reputable training school.
• Proven track record in construction, repair, and operation of electrical plant and equipment up to 11kV on DNO networks.
• Sound HV and LV electrical knowledge.
• Flexibility for out-of-hours standby duties and short-notice work during severe weather.
• Full UK driving license.

Essential Certifications:

• NRSWA Units 1-5
• EUSR
