Job description
WENDO is seeking a volunteer with expertise in project administration and coordination to support the Programme Management Team in the start-up phase of the charitable organisation.
What will you be doing?
The Project Coordinator will support the Programme Management Team in delivering objectives outlined in the 5 year Strategic Plan. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Programme Support:
- Producing project proposals, project plans and tracking project progress
- Tracking project risk and reporting issues into the team leader
- Engaging and collaborating with UK and International teams in the development and delivery of programmes of activity
- Ensuring alignment with programmes of work, strategic objectives and donor requirements
- Ensuring project and donor deadlines are met
- Support in the preparation of comprehensive project reports tailored to different stakeholder requirements
- Fundraising Support:
- Researching potential funding opportunities including grants, foundations and donations and maintain a calendar of the funding deadlines
- Coordinating with International teams to develop fundraising concepts
- Assisting in the development of funding proposals, grant applications, and donor communications
- Supporting the development of compelling proposals to secure financial support for WENDO’s activities
- Project Delivery Support:
- Providing remote support to international project teams, assisting with project implementation, coordination, and monitoring
- Regularly communicating with international project teams to gather updates, address challenges, and share the updates with the team leader
- Assist in the preparation of project progress reports and updates for internal and external stakeholders
- Monitoring and Evaluation Support:
- Supporting the remote monitoring and evaluation of WENDO’s projects, including secondary data collection, analysis, and reporting
- Assisting in the development and implementation of monitoring and evaluation frameworks, tools, and refining of indicators to measure project progress and outcomes
- Contributing to the identification of lessons learned and best practices to improve project effectiveness and impact
What are we looking
for?
- You will have a passion for women empowerment and development initiatives
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational and time management abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Ability to work independently and remotely, with minimal supervision
- Previous experience in project coordination, administration or management required
- Previous support in fundraising desirable but not required
- Experience of working in the charity sector or international development concept desirable but not required
