Job description
Kenect Recruitment are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our client located in Pinxton, Nottinghamshire. As a CNC Machinist, you will be responsible for setting up and operating computer numerical control (CNC) machines to produce precision parts. This is a full-time position with opportunities for growth and advancement.
Duties:
- Set up and operate CNC machines and perform tasks such as milling
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
- Select and install appropriate cutting tools and fixtures
- Monitor machine operations to ensure quality and efficiency
- Make adjustments as necessary to maintain proper dimensions and tolerances
- Inspect finished parts using precision measuring instruments
- Troubleshoot issues with machinery and perform routine maintenance
- Collaborate with team members to optimize production processes
Requirements:
- Proficiency in tooling and machining techniques
- Strong understanding of basic mathematics and measurements
- Experience with SolidWorks or other CAD software is preferred
- Familiarity with power tools, hand tools, and other equipment used in machining
- Knowledge of plastics injection molding and welding is a plus
- Mechanical knowledge to diagnose and resolve machine malfunctions
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Working Hours (Rotating Shifts) :
Monday - Thursday : 6:00am - 2:00pm, Friday : 6:00am - 11:30am
Monday - Thursday : 2:00pm - 10:00pm, Friday : 11:30am - 5:00pm
