Job description
As part of the IT support team, the role involves addressing customer IT queries, resolving technical issues, and ensuring smooth operation of equipment and systems. Your daily responsibilities will include:
• Receive and document customer inquiries regarding IT issues, ensuring thorough understanding and capturing all relevant details.
• Utilise troubleshooting techniques to identify and resolve faults promptly and effectively.
• Log and track all work in progress using Helpdesk Software, maintaining detailed records of issues and corresponding solutions.
• Contribute to the development and maintenance of online knowledge banks by updating information and creating Standard Operating Procedures for common IT problems.
• Perform regular maintenance and servicing of equipment such as printers, projectors, and peripherals to ensure optimal functionality.
• Take charge of setting up new equipment and upgrading existing systems, including PCs and printers, in accordance with organisational requirements.
• Provide hands-on assistance to users experiencing software-related issues, offering guidance and troubleshooting steps to resolve problems efficiently.
• Conduct basic handover training sessions on Microsoft products to empower users with essential skills for their day-to-day tasks.
• Monitor backup processes to verify data integrity and adherence to backup schedules, ensuring robust data protection measures are in place.
Full Information Communications Technician Level 3.
All Training will take place at the employers premises.
