Hours: Full- time
GSL Education are seeking a Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant to work in one of our local mainstream primary schools situated in Bournemouth. The school prides themselves on their inclusivity and tailored provision where every child’s individual needs are met, supported, and catered for. The school are looking for candidates with a passion providing quality SEN provision to meet pupils’ diverse needs.
The role consists of primarily supporting pupils from EYFS to Year 6 on a 1:1 basis, including individuals with EHCPs, additional behavioural needs and SEN such as Autism and Global Developmental Delay. Having experience within a school setting would be beneficial, as well as having experience working with children or adults with SEN, however this is not essential. The successful candidate will have the ability to support class teachers to engage learners, motivate children and respond and adapt appropriately to the needs to the pupils they are working with.
The role is available for an immediate start, full-time, however the school may also consider part-time applicants.
