Facility Services within Resources of Midlothian Council operate a catering service based with Primary Schools, Nurseries, High Schools, Lunch Clubs and Cafés across Midlothian.
This post is based in -:
Woodburn Primary School Kitchen (39 week)
Your duties within this roll will include operational delivery and direct participation in the provision of a multi-choice catering service. This will encompass direct control over production, staff management, record keeping, ordering of goods, Allergens & maintenance of stock levels.
SVQ 2 in Food Preparation & Cooking or equivalent is required or are working towards attaining this qualification (this must be achieved within 2 year of commencement into the post)
3 years’ experience in working in a busy kitchen environment is essential and must demonstrate a positive and caring approach to working with children as well as adapting to varying dietary and allergens needs.
REHIS Elementary Food Hygiene Certificate or equivalent is essential. REHIS Intermediate Food Hygiene Certificate or equivalent is desirable or the successful candidate must work towards attaining this qualification (this must be achieved within 6 months of commencement into the post)
Allergen Awareness Level 2 or equivalent is essential. Allergen Awareness Level 3 or equivalent is desirable or the successful candidate must work towards attaining this qualification (this must be achieved within 1 year of commencement into the post)

Based on you working 36 hours over 39 weeks per year the minimum actual salary for this position is £23,440.06 per annum.
