Position Overview
The candidate's primary responsibilities will be to perform all detail accounting functions and analysis for regional GL Accounting processes including accruals, payroll, prepayments etc. for various entities across Europe. Additionally, the candidate will be responsible for providing accounting assistance in support of the closing and reporting process and assisting in the ongoing review of the SOX internal control process, as well as provide support and all required documentation for internal and external audits for the GL Accounting area. The candidate will contribute to the development of continuous process improvement initiatives and best practices through leverage of technology and effective collaboration/communication. The candidate will work on regional reporting package and statutory financial statement preparation.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Accounting: · Perform monthly legal entity trial balance P&L and balance sheet reviews for a portfolio of entities · Partner with FP&A to provide input and improve accuracy of SG&A forecasts and investigate movements in account balances. · Preparation of regional US GAAP reporting package schedules · Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations for GL accounts including accruals, prepayments, payroll for entities across the region. · Work closely with business partners across the region including FP&A, HR, Cloudpay, Marketing, etc. to improve processes and ensure accuracy of financial statements · Identification of process improvement and efficiency enhancement opportunities. Statutory compliance · Preparation of statutory financial statements and audits for specific entities Other · Identify and drive process improvement and efficiency enhancement opportunities including leveraging the system to drive automation. · Perform ad-hoc strategic analysis in support of new businesses/initiatives (new brands / markets / stores, etc.) · Maintain and review documented procedures and ensure compliance with SOX requirements.

Experience, Skills & Knowledge
- Good communication skills (written and verbal) in English, another European language is a plus - Results orientated, flexible, resourceful, and self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple tasks - Strong time-management skills, ability to adhere to tight deadlines - Team player and customer service oriented, «can-do» attitude - Organized, detail oriented and disciplined in follow through and completion of tasks Education and Experience: - Previous experience in a similar finance / accounting role preferably in a shared service environment - Proficiency in Excel and fair understanding of general ledger applications (SAP experience a plus) - Accounting, finance, business or economics education / qualification
