Job description

We are looking for an experienced Warehouse Operative to work for our client based in Ashford!

Please only apply for this role if you have a COS Certificate (Cargo Operative Screening Certificate)

This is a full time, permanent role on nights Tuesday to Friday nights. Starting salary will be 27k, if you have a COS you will be entitled to an increase.

Candidates must have:

• Cargo X-ray Screening skills

The right candidates will ideally have:

• Great customer service and team working skills
• Fork Lift Driving skills an advantage although not essential.
• To ensure the processing of customer orders and requests in line with guidelines / internal Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) are being met by the Warehouse team
• Accurate Inbound handling of shipments in a timely manner
• Data entry into the Warehouse Management system in an accurate and timely manner
• Screening via metal detection X-ray, FREDDS and ETD machine.
• Checking and labelling of cargo in line with supporting documentation
• Preparing cargo for dispatch, including the handling of temperature sensitive shipments.
• Loading & despatching of cargo with maximum efficiency to meet company KPIs
• Undertaking of general Warehouse and administration duties as required
• Warehouse cleaning to be completed as per agreed schedule and recorded on company documentation
• Handling of temperature controlled shipments, as well as general cargo and other specialized services (e.g Dangerous Goods etc)
• Uphold company’s Health & Safety standards and policies at all times.

• 28 days Paid Annual Leave pro-rata for PAYE (inclusive of statutory holiday)
