Flame Health are currently working with a fantastic Healthcare company who are looking for an Extended Scope Practitioner in the Luton area. The successful Practitioner will provide expert assessment, treatment, prognosis and advice to a diverse range of patients within the musculoskeletal / orthopaedic area. You will manage the care of patients that would have traditionally been referred into the consultant orthopaedic services with spinal and peripheral problems.
You will of course plan, initiate and evaluate appropriate individual patient care programs in written and verbal format and determine, without supervision, the future clinical pathway of patients referred into MSK clinics.
Responsibilities within this role will include: - Interpret and analyse tests and investigations to form accurate diagnosis and prognosis for a wide range of conditions
- Undertake direct prescription and administration of prescription only medication (POM) in order to undertake injection therapy following the appropriate local PGD where qualified to do so.
- To determine the clinical diagnosis and future clinical management of patients through clinical assessment, requesting and interpretation of results of specific medical investigations such as MRI, X rays and pathology tests etc.;
- To provide clinical leadership and support to other professional staff
- Work within clinical settings as an independent practitioner without immediate support of colleagues.
- To be responsible and accountable for the actions and quality of your own work .
To be considered for this role you must have: Educated to degree level within physiotherapy medicine (HCPC) with experience in the administration of corticosteroid injections
