Job description

Are you an experienced and compassionate Registered Nurse looking to take on a leadership role in a Clinical Research project focused on long-term conditions?

We are pleased to offer a unique opportunity to a dedicated Band 5/6+ Nurse with expertise in Phlebotomy. This position provides a long-term engagement with immediate full-time shifts available in Northeast England.

As the Lead Nurse, you will play a crucial role in delivering excellent quality care on a daily basis, ensuring compliance with clinical governance targets. Your expertise in Phlebotomy will be highly valued as you contribute to a meaningful clinical research project dedicated to improving healthcare outcomes for long-term conditions.

In addition to your leadership responsibilities, you will have the flexibility to provide support during Healthcare Support Worker breaks, enhancing team efficiency and maintaining high-quality care. Reporting directly to the Chief Nurse, you will oversee staff attendance, scheduling, and handle operational queries, showcasing your problem-solving and decision-making skills.

Requirements for this role include NMC Registration and the right to work in the UK. Previous experience as a Lead Nurse with Phlebotomy Competency is highly desired. Desired skills encompass independence, effective decision making, strong communication abilities (including delivering difficult news), efficient time management, and knowledge of risk management, job planning, and appraisal review processes.
