Job description
Our client is a leading, privately owned investment company and property developer, and are looking to recruit a Quantity Surveyor to join their multi award-winning team.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a leading regional developer, with the opportunity to quickly progress to Senior Quantity Surveyor level.
With a reputation of delivering a mixture of unique and high-quality projects across the South coast, you will have the opportunity to work on varied projects, including working with private clients on exclusive high value developments, and the purchasing of land for the development of mixed-use sites, student accommodation up to 400 units and industrial units.
As the successful Quantity Surveyor, you will be involved on the projects from initial concept and throughout the project-lifecycle, working closely with the Construction team to help deliver the projects, with a focus on minimising costs and enhancing value for money, whilst still achieving the highest standards of quality expected.
Quantity Surveyor roles and responsibilities:
Procurement and negotiation of sub-contracts.
Agreeing monthly payment valuations.
Monitoring & reporting progress on site.
Attending development progress meetings.
Agreeing instructions and processing variations.
Working with and alongside the design team.
Knowledge or experience in estimating would be a benefit but not essential.
Agreeing Final Accounts.
Quantity Surveyor requirements:
Degree or NHD/HND Quantity Surveying or construction related qualification.
Previous experience working for a residential or commercial developer or house building.
Fully IT literate, with Excel skills essential.
Well organised, diligent, self-motivated, and proactive.
Full UK driving license.
Quantity Surveyor Benefits:
Competitive salary between £50,000 - £60,000 (depending upon experience) and package (inc' car / car allowance).
