Legal Compliance Manager
We're currently working with a brilliant multi-service Legal 500 firm based in St Albans, now looking to bring on board a Legal Compliance Manager.
You will join a small compliance team with one direct report, who you will support with your indepth knowledge of risk and compliance within the legal sector.
This is a fantastic opportunity to hep mould a developing compliance function, handling day to dat compliance reporting into the complaints handler. You will provide support and guidance to the partners and group on fraud, reguatory risk and compliance. Inclusing AML, Trerrist financing, SRA code of conduct, GDPr and Financial Service regulations.
Assisting the COLP with PII and renewing practising certififcate, you will be the main Point of contact for compliance.
Skills?
- Significant experience leading compliance within a law firm.
- Or a solicitor with 5+ years PQE in professional negligence, indemnity litigation, regulatory, PSL (In house or commercial)
- A strong understanding of SRA Code of Conduct
- Solid understanding of Lexcel and ISO requirements.
- Strong working knowledge of AML legislaton to support the MLRO.
