The Role
Production Manager.
Reporting to the Managing Director, you will lead a team of staff across the production unit, stores, mould shop, press shop and maintenance ensuring all processes are efficient and a high quality product is delivered to customers. This will naturally involve working to set timescales and meeting production and delivery targets and deadlines.
You should be a strong people manager as well as being experienced within manufacturing environments (ideally automotive).
Responsibilities
- People management.
- Lead and motivate the team, providing effective management of all production areas.
- Good understanding and awareness of health and safety requirements.
- Ensuring production of product to time and quality standards.
- A focus on productivity and quality of output.
- Forecasting future production requirements based on current and historical sales data.
- Continuous improvement mindset.
- Working closely with other internal teams.
- Monitoring service levels and addressing any issues quickly.
- An involvement in any recruitment for the department, appraisals, disciplinaries etc.
Requirements
- Excellent people management skills.
- Previous production management experience (manufacturing / automotive).
- Continuous improvement mindset.
- Strong communications skills.
- Strong organisational, time management and communication skills.
Based in Stourport, Worcestershire.
Monday to Thursday 8:15am to 4:45pm, Friday 8:15am to 1:15pm.
Salary circa £45,000 - £55,000.
