Job description

Due to continued growth OCU are looking for an experience Mechanic / Fitter to join our established team in Borehamwood. You will be responsible for carrying out preventative maintenance to Construction Plant equipment / vehicles routine servicing and repair of plant equipment including diesel engines hydraulic etc hire checks and on site services and inspection.

Responsibilities

• Inspect Plant engines transmissions and run diagnostic tests
• Inspect Vehicles engines transmissions and run diagnostic tests
• Conduct repairs aiming for maximum reliability
• Troubleshoot reported problems and resolve them in a timely manner
• Perform thorough maintenance on machinery vehicles and equipment
• Carry out any other duties appropriate for this post

Skills & Experience

• Proven experience as a Mechanic
• Excellent knowledge of machinery and hydraulic electrical and other systems and their components
• A strong commitment to all health and safety guidelines
• Attention to detail
• Excellent prioritisation and organisational skills
• Selfmotivated and able to work on own initiative; enthusiastic with can do attitude
• Good problemsolving skills
• Good communication skills
• Able to work to deadlines
• Driving License
  

Desirable

• Previous experience within utilities construction
