Job description
OCU Group continues through 2024with its significant growth. As part of this we now have a new opportunity for an experienced Claims & Insurance Coordinator to join us in our Stockport Head Office.
The purpose of the role is to take responsibility for the handling of our claims and ensuring the Group is fully protected from insurable risk. You will provide advice to stakeholders within the business and work closely with brokers and insurers offering the best protection for our business. You will be providing an effective claims service within OCU Group in accordance with relevant legislations policies and procedures. This role is based around financial and commercial awareness including making and managing timely and accurate payments for claim settlements within your delegated authority limits.
You will need to have great leadership and service improvement experience to enhance the service we provide to our internal and external stakeholders. Reporting directly to the Group Claims and Insurance Manager your focus will be on delivering an excellent customer experience and high levels of performance as well as key strategic accountabilities. The role may require attendance at internal and external meetings and conferences.
The successful candidate will have a proven track record of handling and defending claims. You should be able to with minimum supervision and have experience in communicating clearly confidently and empathetically across a wide range of groups including claimants clients brokers solicitors insurers senior leaders and other stakeholders. You will have full knowledge of relevant legislation relating to the handling of all categories of insurance claims. This role requires strong analytic skills a keen eye for detail and using your initiative to resolve issues in a professional manner.
