Your New Role:

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Permanent Cleaning supervisor to join our UKHO account at UK Hydrographic Office, Admiralty Way, Taunton, Somerset, TA1 2DN, United Kingdom - This role is on-site based.

The salary is dependent on experience

Amey delivers facilities and estate management services to at the headquarters of UK Hydrographics Office. The UKHO, an executive agency sponsored by the Ministry of Defence, collects and supplies hydrographic and geospatial data for the Royal Navy and merchant shipping to protect lives at sea.

Delivering planned and reactive maintenance, helpdesk services, and energy and asset management, we help keep the headquarters, secure safe, clean and complaint.

We work in partnership with our clients and UKHO staff to ensure the 24/7 service we provide is delivered to the highest standard with minimum impact or disruption to day-to-day operational requirements.

The standard hours of work are 37.5 hours per week

You will be responsible for:

Supervise cleaners within your team, carrying out basic people management activity
Carry out bi- weekly cleaning audits for internal improvements
Control stock levels and order consumables to ensure service delivery through the correct channels
Operate machinery safely and in line with the guidelines and training provided
Train cleaners in Amey way modules including 6 monthly refreshers.
Resolve any concerns or issues raised by team members or escalate to your people manager if you are not able to.
Carry out any reasonable requests that are directed by your line manager.
Responsible for ensuring H&S standards are achieved across the contract.
This role will also support both local and business zero carbon programmes, working towards zero carbon in a strategic and lean manner as and where it is appropriate.
