Are you a suitably qualified, proactive and flexible individual who would like to join our Domestic Services Team?
The Domestic Services Team provide a professional service to staff and students, either working alone or as part of a team, working on similar tasks usually with short, defined timescales.
The Domestic Services General Assistant is an important role assisting in the provision of a professional and comprehensive service for the University. A high priority is given to the creation of effective working relationships between the post holder and other contacts in the University as appropriate. You will support the Team Leader and the Working Supervisor on the day-to-day operations through support and provide excellent customer service.
You will carry out a range of activities mainly using routine procedures and working to agreed timescales. You will be required to liaise with customers, handle their queries and more.
This position will be predominantly Monday – Friday (pro rata), although there may be a requirement to work weekends/at other locations during certain times of the year, as business dictates.
Due to the practical nature of the work, this role is based on-site at our Lancaster campus.
