Job description

The Role

Trinity Catholic High School is seeking a new Behaviour Support Assistant, a non-teaching member of staff who will join the school’s Behaviour and Pastoral Care team. We strive for the highest standards of conduct both within lessons and around our school sites. Our most recent Ofsted report highlighted “Leaders ensure that the school is calm and orderly. Pupils behave well and support and respect each other. They work hard in lessons and they have positive attitudes towards their education. Attendance is high. Pupils are kept safe, and bullying is rare. When incidents do occur, leaders tackle these quickly.”

The Behaviour Support Assistant will play a key role in supporting our vision for all students to achieve their potential, liaising with key stakeholders such as Heads of Year, the Designated Safeguarding Lead, teachers and parents. The successful candidate will also work closely with our Inclusion Coordinator to assist in developing our programme for student reflection and restoration.

Hours per week

Monday-Friday; 8.30am-4.00pm (negotiable)

  1. Be a highly visible and proactive member of staff in supporting the behaviour and ethos of the school.
  2. Have excellent interpersonal skills and be able to communicate effectively with a number of parties
  3. Have a passion for developing the positive development of young people and the resilience to remain calm and consistent when challenging negative behaviour.
