The successful Project Manager will be responsible for the planning element of tender reviews and the planning of orders from customer order receipt to delivery. This involves monitoring and ensuring the cost of projects is maintained within budget for each project, delivering the businesses margin targets and achieving on-time delivery.

The successful candidate will have experience of evaluating tender review processes for both the technical and commercial elements of a sales enquiry to ascertain the necessity for project involvement and be able to produce project plans for contracts/orders and be the point of contact for both the business and the customer.

Skills:

• Qualified to Higher National Certificate (HNC) or degree level, or qualified by experience
• Proven project management analysis experience and design skills within manufacturing methods and procedures and process improvement with a good technical understanding of supervisory and computer-aided manufacturing (CAM)/computer-aided design (CAD) 
• Good technical expertise with experience of production processes and product quality requirements including welding, non-destructive testing (NDT) and component manufacture
• Able to demonstrate experience of producing estimates, proposals, bids or tenders for a precision engineering company or similar
• Excellent communication skills,  both written and spoken, to develop relationships and generate new and future business
• Good commercial acumen and the ability to oversee production- specific proposals and client relationships
• Able to work independently and as part of a team
• Competent in the use of Microsoft Office with experience using an enterprise resource planning (ERP) system
• High level of attention to detail
• Able to travel both nationally and internationally as part of the role when required.

This role offers a basic salary of £50,000 to £55,000 depending on experience, plus excellent benefits and career progression.
