The successful candidate will be working for NI's largest export company, by volume, producing aggregates from several Co. Down gritstone quarries. Conexpo operates two of the UK's largest high PSV aggregate production plants which can produce in excess of 1,000,000 tonnes per annum. The successful candidate will be working with the team who operate and maintain these production plants. Specialist contractors are employed to maintain and modify the electric and electronic control systems and the successful candidate will be able to expand their responsibilities. Along side the two production plants, a fleet of specialists mobile plant is also required, and the mechanical and electrical maintenance of these is ongoing. Again the successful candidate will have the opportunity to experience this work. Conexpo operates ISO 9001, 14001, 45001 management systems for quality and health and safety. The successful candidate will be trained and working to these standards..

Responsibilities

• As part of a team, operate and maintain production plants.
• Assist specialist contractors, when required for repairs and maintenance of Static and Mobile Plant.
• Work to high industry standards of management systems for quality, health and safety and environment safety. (ISO 9001,14001 and 45001)
• As part of the candidates development, learn how to operate and maintain mobile plant and achieve safe driving certificates.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• Ability to take instruction from senior site staff.
• Disciplined to follow industry standards of management systems in areas of quality, health and safety and environmental safety.
• Ability to work in a team environment and promote effective communication.

Desirable Skills

• Prior experience of working in a construction environment.
• Prior experience of operating and driving mobile plant. However full training will be provided.

Further Information

The Employer is: CONEXPO NI LTD. Although this is a full time temporary opportunity, hours may be extended and it could lead to a permanent position. The job advert may end before the closing date if requested by the employer. Salary: 16/17 £5.28, 18/20yrs £7.49, 21/22yrs £10.18, 23/24yrs £10.42 per hour
