Head of ICT

Our client is a market leader in the specialist building trade sector with successful operations across the UK and an appetite for aggressive expansion through organic growth geographically and a PE backed acquisition strategy.

The company's product offerings are extensive, providing everything from paints and coatings to decorating tools, fillers and adhesives, masking tapes, sanding abrasives, dust sheets and protectors, decorators workwear, cleaning and removal supplies, and wall coverings.

Having successfully completed two acquisitions, the Head of ICT post, which reports directly to the UK CEO, has been created to help devise & deliver the broad strategic plan. Specific focus is centred on the 4 C's i.e. Customer, Cohesion, Commercials and Community.

The role would have the following requirements in addition to general senior management breadth of experience to contribute beyond subject matter responsibility:

1. Systematic review of outsourced service providers for all infrastructure, telephony, IT, application support & development, and actual service delivery.
2. Setting & delivering fit for purpose service level agreements (Merlin uptime / telephony) linked to point 1 & associated value for money.
3. Merlin application support, relationship & development lead
4. Data strategy (i.e. 'liberating' data from Merlin / Magento into Mongo (for example) for automated DM activities)
5. DM enablement and support for 'basics done brilliantly' relating to personalisation, behavioural & relevance marketing (cross-sell / up-sell / alternatives / frequency)
6. Integration between Merlin & Magento 99.99999% API connectivity and config quality
7. Support for digital roadmap in omnichannel terms and pure-play single channel terms through multiple shop-fronts on Merlin
8. DR capability planning
9. Creation and maintenance of IT policies, procedures & standards
10. Rolling three-year roadmap for technical enterprise architecture roadmap

The salary is up to £70k with a £6k per annum car allowance and 10% bonus.
