Job Title:Interim Placements Manager (Children’s)
Contract Length:                       3-month initial interim contract
Location:South Coast, UK
Pay rate:                                   £450 per day (Umbrella)
Working pattern:5 days per week (hybrid – 2 days a month on site)

 
 
The opportunity has arisen for a Local Authority in the South of England to work as the Interim Placements Manager for Children’s Services for an initial 3 months. Reporting to the Head of Children’s Placements, you will be expected to manage the service delivery of the placements team through placement sourcing and management for Children in Care.

 
CV submission is by COP Wednesday 14th February, with a view to interview Monday 19th Feb and start on Monday 26th Feb. This role is being offered on a remote basis with the expectation of working 2 days a month on-site.
 
 
Your duties as the Placements Manager:

• To manage the service delivery of the placements team through placement sourcing and management for Children in Care.
• Achieve placement efficiencies within children’s services.
• To manage the service delivery of contact packages for Children in Care.
• To be innovative and creative in ensuring all arrangements managed identify efficiencies and savings and are commissioned in line with best value practice.
• To contribute to the commissioning of services for children’s social care ensuring sufficient services are available throughout the child’s journey.

 

 
Your experience required as the Placements Manager:

• Experience as a Placements Manager or Placements Officer who’s ready for a management opportunity.
• You will need to be experienced in Mosaic.
• Have good market knowledge and we able to take control of a small but very busy team.
• Ability to hit the ground running.
• Current Enhanced DBS or willing to undertake one.
• Able to provide at least 2 years’ worth of references.
