Salary: £50,511 - £58,266 per annum

12 Months Fixed Term Contract
37 Hours per Week.


Thurrock Council's Information and Communications Technology Department plays a key role in driving the council's digital and technological transformation. As a department, we are committed to leveraging innovative technologies and digital solutions to enhance service delivery, improve efficiency, and meet the evolving needs of our community.


We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Oracle Support professional to join our team as a Technology Consultant, you will provide comprehensive support for various Oracle Fusion Cloud modules, including Human Capital Management, Payroll, Financials, Supply Chain Management, and Projects.


You will be responsible for resolving incidents, managing system changes, and ensuring the smooth operation of Oracle Fusion Cloud., you will need a strong background in Oracle Fusion Cloud support, coupled with extensive knowledge of the above modules. encompassing both functional and technical aspects.


Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Monitoring the call queue resolving both routine and complex issues.
- Collaborating with and coordinating communication with business users, technical teams, and third-party vendors to analyse, diagnose and solve application-related problems.
- Collaborate with business users and third-party vendors to support the testing and deployment of Oracle Fusion Cloud updates, patches, and enhancements.
- Provide support and guidance to end-users during and after the deployment of updates, addressing any issues or questions that may arise.
- Collaborate closely with business users to in expanding and refining system requirements, for enhancements, and new features. Effectively communicate these requirements to third parties, ensuring clear understanding and adequate testing for a successful implementation.
- Utilisation of OTBI reporting tools and functionalities to generate accurate reports.

Key Competencies
- Solid understanding of change management principles and best practices.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyse complex issues and provide effective solutions.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to handle workloads and prioritise effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively convey information and ideas.
- A comprehensive understanding of the functionalities, configurations, and best practices for the Oracle Fusion Cloud suite, from both a technical and functional perspective.
- Solid understanding of Oracle Fusion Cloud System Administration, including role configuration, user management and profile management.
- Proficient in the use of the reporting and analytics capabilities within Oracle. This includes knowledge of tools such as in SQL, BI Publisher and OTBI Reports.


Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check is required, at the Basic level.
