Role: Senior Payroll & Billing Officer
Salary: £28,000 - £30,000 per annum
Location: Kings Hill (Hybrid Working)
Do you have experience within Payroll? Are you looking for a step up to Senior level?
The successful candidate will take ownership of the weekly payment and billing process for their respective Recruitment Division brands. They will also ensure the teams workloads are allocated and managed to make sure weekly deadlines are met. The Senior Payroll and Billing Officer must be an analytical thinker with the ability to develop and improve excel reports to support the Pay and Bill system. They will also need to be able to create and provide weekly statistics to the Pay and Bill team leader and make sure that process risks are minimised.
This is a hybrid working role with 2 days working from our Kings Hill office, 3 days at home!

Key duties
- Organise and coordinate the teams workloads to ensure payroll deadlines are met
- Create excel reports for the Pay and Bill system to provide clear overviews and enhance current processes
- Fully complete weekly payrolls, including importing data from the HRMC and Pension Provider to sending out payslips, reconciliation and uploading Pension Files
- Manage data imports from the CRM system into the Pay & Bill system, and ensure all warnings and errors are correctly reviewed and actioned in line with current process and procedures
- Understand the processing of Client Self Bill payments and remittances, liaising with Exchequer department where necessary, ensuring that all queries are managed and resolved accordingly. Assist and support the Support Services Pay and Bill officers with Self Billing clients
- Supervising and supporting Pay and Bill Officers in their career development
What we need from you
- Experience working in a Pay and Bill or Accounts function
- An excellent working knowledge of Excel to intermediary level
- Ability to manage and prioritise staff workloads to enable deadlines to be met
- Experience working in a fast paced environment and able to manage conflicting deadlines
- Understanding of pay to bill systems
- Excellent communication skills and high attention to detail
- A reasonable working knowledge of the complexities of the Recruitment sector (desirable)
- CIPP or equivalent qualification (desirable)
