Job description
Our client is currently looking for a shift manager to lead the night shift at a busy recycling site in Manchester. The role requires overseeing the operations team to ensure that the plant operates smoothly while maintaining compliance with safety and company policies. You will need to plan effectively and coordinate all on-site activities in line with KPI and financial expectations. Additionally, proposing actions to improve performance and reporting on plant performance are key responsibilities.
The main responsibilities include ensuring safe and compliant operational activity, leading and developing the team, standardising ways of working, embedding a customer-focused continuous improvement culture, and supporting the development of new technology/machinery implementation. Other requirements include contributing to the annual master plan and production strategy, production resource planning and reporting, maintaining, developing and progressing the LTO for all the operational personnel, and fulfilling other reasonable duties as required from time to time. The ideal candidate should have higher education/degree equivalent, waste industry/production knowledge, Wamitab or equivalent certification, and managing safety/IOSH certification. A driver's license is also required for the role.Hours Sun - Thursday 22:00 - 06:00
Pay - £42,000 Plus Pension and Annual Bonus based on Company/Site performance
Overtime is also paid at x 1.5 Sun-Thurs & x2 Saturdays
