Job description
An exciting opportunity to work in the Liaison Mental Health Team
To provide a comprehensive administrative / secretarial service to the Consultant Psychiatrist and supporting medical team.
The postholder will be expected to manage their workload with the Consultant and their team and coordinate their activities to ensure that an efficient service is provided in such a way as to make a direct and positive contribution to the organisation of the work.
It is essential that the postholder should exercise initiative commensurate with the role of a Medical Secretary.
The post-holder will be flexible and use their own initiative to organise their workload, dependent upon the priorities and requirements at that time. Sensitivity to people with mental health needs is essential within this role.
You will be required to work to a high standard of accuracy, have excellent organisational skills and be able to demonstrate initiative in planning your own workload in a way that supports the Consultant to manage daily operational tasks and processes.
As a team player you will be responsible for providing a full secretarial service to the Liaison Team. The post holder will be required to use computerised systems such as Paris and the Bighand Digital dictation system
