Job Description
The Finance Manager for Financial Accounting is a key role in the finance team, reporting into the Site Controller. You will play a critical role in the production of monthly and annual reporting, ensuring that the processes run smoothly and that the business compliance is in place.
Key responsibilities include:
- Management of the transactional finance team (3)
- Responsibility for accurate financial reporting in line with tight deadlines, inputting into the budget and forecast process
- Liaising with external and internal auditors, ensuring robust processes are in place and adhered to.
- Ensuring compliance with Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) regulations
- Maintaining and developing accurate and timely reporting systems, leading to meaningful analysis and interpretation of the financial performance of the site
- Developing robust forecasting processes across Income Statements, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow and Foreign Currency
- Report on risks and opportunities
- Support the Management Accounting team with information, analysis and guidance, allowing strong financial controls
- Work to improve the site's working capital cycle
- Support Capital Project Proposals
- Overall play a key role in compliance and governance
The role is based in the Medway Towns and will require 2-3 days per week on site.
The Successful Applicant
The successful Finance Manager for Financial Accounting department should have:
- A Professional accountancy qualification (ACA or ACCA / equivalent).
- A strong financial compliance skill set
- Knowledge of Sarabanes Oxley and US GAAP ideally
- Strong analytical skill set and experience of forecast modelling
- The ability to work to tight deadlines in a multi-national company
- Excellent understanding of all areas of the P&L and Balance Sheet
