About the role
Salary £30-35K plus shift allowance You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the manufacturing department, Inclusive of all personnel issues and you will report to the manufacturing manager.
You will ensure that the daily and weekly manufacturing plan is achieved through the most effective use of resources employed to deliver on time and in full, achieving medium and long-term area improvement objectives and to deliver projects across Operations. The role demands a proactive approach to raise the overall performance in line with business and departmental objectives.
About you Significant Manufacturing or Production experience within a chemical manufacturing environment. Experience of working with fluids would be advantageous.
- You will be SHEQ focused and be IOSH accredited trained.
- Understanding of modern manufacturing methods i.e., TPM, Focused improvement and 6S
- You will have great people management skills, with the ability to engage, coach and motivate the team.
- You will be a skilled and effective communicator, comfortable communicating with people at all levels, from the shop floor to the Executive Team
- You will have the ability to effectively multitask difficult operations, thinking creatively to solve problems and have the tenacity to drive through to a solution.
- You will have a customer centric approach and be able to demonstrate your ability to improve efficiencies with robust analysis and controls.
- Flexible and adaptable to react to unexpected tasks or customer demand.
- You can demonstrate the mental capacity to deal effectively with a high workload, priorities own and team's workload accordingly.
Background Checks Due to the nature of this role the successful candidate will need to complete background checks including a DBS check and 5 years’ employment/educational references - these will need to be completed before the successful candidate can start the role.
