Full-time English-speaking Governess/Governor required for twin boys aged 6 located in Bend, Oregon, USA. Salary $1635 – $2013 per week, starting June.
This role is only suitable for US passport holders or a candidate already holding a green card. A British/American family is seeking an active, fun, and experienced Governess/Governor to assist with the social and academic support of their sons. As a Governess/Governor, you will assist and organise the daily schedule of the boys and support their education. You will be required to attend school meetings, coordinate with their teachers, and escort them to after-school activities. In addition to this, you will be required to assist with the young boy’s social and emotional development as they become older. Encourage positive relationships with peers, and overall promote a healthy lifestyle. The young boys are very active and enjoy skiing, mountain biking, swimming, and taking on new adventures. The family and children enjoy a healthy lifestyle and outdoor living; hiking locally and taking ski and activity-based holidays. The mother is currently at home but will be returning to work. The ideal candidate will be an experienced Governess/Governor who is a qualified teacher, holding a PGCE/QTS/MA or equivalent. Good administrative and organisational skills are essential, along with a friendly and creative personality. Having a caring, kind, and genuine passion for children is essential. The family is considering home-schooling both boys soon. Therefore, being confident in providing home-schooling is essential for the role. The family has a relaxed approach to living and is seeking a candidate who will feel part of their family. The working schedule will be 5 days per week, working from 8 am – 6 pm. The mother is British and would ideally like to have a British candidate to support her family, exposing them to the British accent and traditions.
