Job description
Main Area of Responsibility
- General maintenance and upkeep of the facility, equipment, and tools
- Prepare and maintain a program of routine maintenance for all machinery adhering to the manufacturer’s guidelines
- Maintain all equipment to the approved standard of use adhering to Health and Safety guidelines
- Diagnose and repair all mechanical and electrical faults
- Maintain a small store of fast-moving parts
- Responsible for maintaining all service records meeting the company standard
- Operate O/A, Arc, Mig, brazing, and soldering work as required, conforming to Health and Safety regulations.
- Maintain up-to-date training
- Operate cylinder-grinding machines and lathe
- Operate within the agreed equipment maintenance budget
- Communicate equipment needs and operational expectancy to the Estate Manager
- Maintain good communications/relations with both departmental staff and outside suppliers
- Ensure the workshop environment is maintained to an organized, clean standard at all times
Salary
£30,000 - £33,000 per annum
