Job description
REAL ADDED VALUE: A CONTENTED CUSTOMER.In this role you'll be involved in evaluating financial data to make underwriting decisions on all types of proposals submitted by retailers and partners. Additionally, a key responsibility of the role is to make quick and responsible lending decisions. On a daily basis you'll be involved in the following:
Responsible for underwriting proposals within an approved authority limit per customer / individual application.
Make commercially sound decisions within the time standards agreed with Retailers and Partners.
Accept or decline credit applications including negotiation of terms.
Evaluate applications to highlight potential fraud and money laundering cases.
Discuss proposals with Retailers, Partners and Internal Sales at all levels effectively.
1-2 years of Underwriting experience gained within the financial services sector.
Ability to commit working on a fixed term contract basis.
Flexibility to work on a shift basis including weekends (standard hours 37.5 over 7 day period).
Time will be split between office and remote working.
Ability to analytically assess, interpret and evaluate data quickly and accurately.
Ability to deliver in a time pressured environment and handle multiple high priority tasks.
Ability to build business relationships with strong interpersonal skills.
