Children’s Home Registered Manager

Taunton

£40,000 - £45,000

TRC are working on a brand-new project in Taunton for a 1 bed children’s home due to open this summer! My well-established client began their journey into children’s services 2 years ago and have had a successful start and are now searching for an incredible manager to assist in the set-up of their next home. This will be their second children’s home and will focus on the care of a child with EBD needs! 

My client would be interested in speaking to experienced Registered Managers as well as Deputies looking to catapult to the next step in their career!

The Role: 

You will be responsible for setting up the home, recruiting the staff team & providing a stable home for children, in line with individual needs and care plans. You will lead and develop the team of staff within the home and work closely with colleagues and other agencies to secure inspiring outcomes for our young people.

Essentials:

• You will have a strong experience of managing a children’s home and will take pride in creating a warm and welcoming environment for our young people and staff.
• As the Registered Manager you will have day to day responsibility for the home, and be able to understand high quality care, quality assurance and have a child centred approach.
• You will be able to manage, support and develop a team to ensure they demonstrate the vision and goals of the organisation.
• You must have excellent leadership, management skills and strong organisational skills.
• You will have passion, drive, resilience, and ambition to maintain and exceed expectations for children with disabilities and always want to strive to improve the home.
• You must have up-to-date knowledge of Childcare legislation, Ofsted regulations and Quality Standards and Children's Homes Regulations 2015.
