As our Responsible Sourcing manager, you’ll play a key role in a high-profile department within the business. You’ll work with and report into our sustainability manager, and collaborate with sourcing, procurement, trading, and quality colleagues, with direct supplier contact.
You’ll deliver on existing FY24-26 plans, with autonomy to develop them. Example of KPIs include:
expanding supplier participation to Global Sourcing Code
increasing supplier participation using HQ-sustainability ratings, ( and progressing ratings over time through corrective actions & coaching )
increasing depth & scope of factory-auditing programme ( working with teams covering UK, Europe and Asia )
This translates into:
holding primary relationship with our 3 rd -party supplier ratings agency, (EcoVadis)
leading supplier communications and responding to queries
accountability for UK factory auditing of own-brand suppliers (involves travel and potential for overnight stays)
Coordinate with European and Global Sourcing teams to coordinate consistent approach and track performance (may involve some early calls with Asia office)

Skills:
Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills – articulating complex concepts to colleagues and suppliers
Stakeholder management - clear ability to build meaningful relationships and work well with senior leaders
Data management (working with supplier tools, Microsoft software including excel, power BI)
Passion and curiosity about sustainability and wanting to expanding knowledge (within the ESG team – when possible – we bookmark 10% of week towards learning other sustainability disciplines to build awareness and develop new skills)
Experience
Working with 3 rd parties (i.e. audit-houses for factory-level auditing (Sedex, BV, UL) and HQ-level assessments (EcoVadis)
Delivering responsible sourcing objectives (examples of delivering strategic ESG objectives within a large supply-chain – either as in-house or consultant)
Technical knowledge of labour, sustainability legislations and initiatives such as International Labour Organisation, Modern Slavery, Human Rights Due Diligence, SDGs, CDP, EcoVadis, Sedex
Full UK driving license
Responsibilities
Developing and delivering an existing Responsible Sourcing Strategy
Translating data to regular board-level datasets, sending strategic supplier email comms & directly coaching suppliers on project,
Act as Subject matter expert, building training & education programme (i.e updating ESG hub) to embed knowledge within business
Proactive management of third-party software-solution
Working with wide group of senior stakeholders
Horizon-scanning of future regulatory changes & technical requirements and making recommendations & attending industry events
Involvement in supplier tenders and supplier onboarding
Supporting with Annual report for relevant sections
Where is it based?
We offer hybrid working, with a requirement to visit office 2days a week (Redditch, Worcestershire).
